
Torri Barnes MScPT BKin
Commencing maternity leave June 1st, 2026
Torri graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta after completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours at the University of Calgary.
Torri has completed post-graduate education in Pelvic Health through Pelvic Health Solutions, manual and manipulative therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and has trained in arthritis management through the Good Life Arthritis – Denmark (GLAD) program.
Torri is passionate about the hip and pelvic floor and has worked extensively with Dave Lindsay on hip rehabilitation throughout her kinesiology and physiotherapy career. She strongly believes in evidence-based exercise prescription and education throughout the rehabilitation process. Her focus is to promote health and wellness through injury prevention, rehabilitation and exercise education.

Jordan Rankin MScPT, HPED
Jordan graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from University of Alberta. Prior she received her Bachelor of Health and Physical Education from Mount Royal University where she played varsity women’s hockey.
Jordan has completed post-graduate education in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS/Dry Needling) and advanced manual and manipulative therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Her choice of a career in physiotherapy arose from an interest in her own recovery from injuries sustained while participating in hockey, swimming, basketball and soccer. As a former elite athlete, she understands the importance of injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, and being able to consistently perform at a highly competitive level. She sustained a significant hip injury during her athletic career which sparked a keen interest in hip rehabilitation.
Whether you are a recreational athlete, highly competitive athlete, or looking to get back to meaningful activities; Jordan will help to create a comprehensive and evidence based rehab program to help you achieve your highest level of function and quality of life.

Madyson MacDougall MScPT BKin
Physiotherapist, accepting appointments starting June 3rd, 2026.
Madyson completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta after earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Through her academic and clinical training, she developed a strong interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, injury prevention, and optimizing movement and performance.
Madyson’s passion for hip physiotherapy stems from her own experiences with hip injuries as an athlete, as well as the opportunity to work with and receive treatment from Dave Lindsay. Her clinical approach aligns closely with Active Hip Centre’s philosophy, emphasizing patient education and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies designed for the patient to perform at home to support long-term hip health. She has completed post-graduate training in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS/Dry Needling), which she incorporates, when appropriate, to compliment the progressive home-based treatment plan.
With a background as an international competitive dancer, Madyson brings a strong appreciation for movement and performance, which continues to shape her clinical practice and active lifestyle.

David Lindsay BHMS, BPhty, MSc
David has been incredibly passionate about the hip for as long as he can remember. Although recently retired from clinical practice, he worked at the University of Calgary Sport Medicine Centre for more than 30 years. In addition to clinical care, he was also involved in numerous research studies and has published over 30 peer – reviewed research manuscripts in a variety of international medical and scientific journals. David still teaches his critically acclaimed hip course “Preserving the Active Hip” to other physio professionals across Canada, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, Australia and USA.
David understands the importance of teamwork and throughout his career has been collaborating with hip surgeons, sport medicine physicians and other physiotherapists to develop the critical elements of the specialized rehabilitation program utilized by the Active Hip Centre. While no longer seeing patients, he still plays an active management and facilitatory role with the Active Hip Centre. Away from the office, David is an avid golfer, windsurfer and hockey player.
